purposes in the UK and is not issued to cover your BFG
registered vehicle, whilst outside Germany!

as your new insurer will issue you one for free! |
|
|

FIRST CALL THE POLICE- THEN US!!!...
or alternatively call your insurer using the 24h Helpline number,
to be found on the back of your policy document. It does not matter
if you are to blame or not- please always call the police, as
leaving the scene is a serious offence in Germany, which if not
taken seriously could jeopardise your insurance cover! Afterwards
we can still assist you with all matters and help make an unpleasant
incident as carefree as possible. |

classed as a Partial Risk on your insurance policy. To proceed,
please contact us for a Loss- Report Form or download it from our
Downloads page.
On completion of this form, you may fax it along with an estimate
or the bill to either Culpeck Insurance Broker GmbH or to Axa- the
fax number at the top of the Loss- Report Form. On receipt, Axa
will refund your German bank account or send a cheque (to your German
quarter address only!), less your excess & tax. You will need
to pay your tax office, which clears the bill with the garage. |
|
|
|
A claim for a broken windscreen will not affect
you No Claims entitlement, as it is classed as a Partial Risk
just like Theft or Fire. Please always bear in mind that if the
windscreen can be fixed instead of replaced, the insurer will
reimburse all your costs without you having to pay an excess.
In addition, a repair is always better than a replacement, as
e.g. when breaking the sealing the internal space with never be
100% sealed again! |

We understand you might be sent on operational
tour and will not be able to use your vehicle(s).Why then pay
for insurance? There is no reason and we also support your opinion.
For this reason we have introduced a Temporary Withdrawal form
for you return to us signed & stamped by your unit, hence
confirming the secure holding of your car key(s). During this
time, the car may not be driven by anyone and should be kept on
a secure compound or in your locked garage. Only then will we
freeze your payments however grant you Fire & Theft cover free
of charge!
Alternatively, due to incidents in
the past, you can also decide to pay just the Fully Comprehensive
portion of your insurance, keeping your 'Own Damage' cover, in
the event of any chassis damages. |
|
|
|
Please either contact
one of our offices or use the "Temporary Withdrawal Reinstatement"
form, which you may find on our download
page. |
|
|
|
So long as you keep your BFG plates on the vehicle,
you will be fine. However, please be aware that your stay is not
allowed to exceed the expiry date stated on our
Green Card! |
|
|
|
To change your vehicle on your policy, we require
at least the make, model and chassis number.

on it's chassis number only!

advisable to know the bhp and the engine size! On completion,
we will send all the paperwork for registration purposes to any
address you wish. |
|
|
|
We, i.e. Culpeck Insurance Broker, are only
responsible for the first payment. When you wish this to take
place, is entirely your decision, yet goes without saying that
it needs to be within a reasonable time-frame. Axa however, will
debit your account at the beginning of every month
if not advised differently. You also have the option of the 17/18
or the 24/25. |
|
|

or 3% for paying semi-annually in comparison to quarterly or monthly. |

over to your husband or wife, taking into consideration that the
recipient has a valid driving licence for at least the years you
wish to transfer. |
|
|
|
With protected No Claims Discount, you are allowed
2 claims/ seperate incidents within a time period of 3 years without
these affecting your NCD. This protection will additionally cost
you an approx. 10% and eventhough protected, in the event of an
incident no loyality discount will be granted (Axa will give you
an extra 5% discount for when you pass a January claim free- up
to a max. of 10%!).

Axa is one of the biggest insurance companies
worldwide and has more than 50 million customers. To cover all
five continents, it has placed agencies and independant
branches in more than 60 countries. Axa UK and Axa Germany are
seperate companies and therefore have different Rules & Regulations.
In your case, Axa UK are not authorized to insure NATO personnel,
who register their vehicles with British Forces Germany. |
|
|
|
Axa A.G. is a German insurance company, based
on German insurance laws. With our motor insurance you will receive
an extra year discount, everytime you pass a January. However,
if the inception date of your policy is after 1st July and you
have zero No Claims Discount, but have held a driving licence
for more than three years, you will gain one year discount on
the comprehensive part of your insurance- NOT ON THE LIABILITY
SECTION. In this case, you will have to pass two Januarys to gain
one full year! |
|
|
|
We can arrange motor insurance, breakdown &
legal cover for any vehicle via
an alternative German insurance company for all NATO personnel
living in the Netherlands with a BFPO or NATO address only!
The conditions are exactly the same as If you were situated in
Germany!
You will only ever have to seek Dutch insurance, if the risk to
be covered is registered by the Dutch authorities e.g. house contents
insurance for a property within the Dutch community. |
|
|
|
A No Claims Bonus certificate expires seven
years after it's cancellation date. |
|
|
|
No, unfortunately not. The BFG regulations state
that the vehicle needs to be registered within one month after
the inception of a BFG/NATO policy. |

Simple question- simple answer!
The rental car company's insurance. Beware though- always check
the excesses before signing a contract! |
|
|

Only if you have specifically asked for an Open

covered to drive your car! |
|
|
|
We sure can!
Please use the following link, which will take you to our download
page. Here you will find three different Axa Terms & Conditions.
Please choose the one matching the inception date of your contract.

using a Green Card. The cover abroad is exactly the same as if
you were here in BFG. The duration is limited to the period your
green card states. |

There are no rules or regulations with any German
insurance company that can force an insured to fit winter tyres!
In the event of an incident your insurer will never refuse to
settle your claim due to not fixing the appropriate rubber.
However the German legislator has decreed that starting 1st May
2006 vehicles have to be equipped with suitable tyres depending
on the meteorological conditions. This simply means that in the
event of snow
and/ or ice, so called winter- or all-season tyres have to be
fitted. Theses can be identified by the ‘M+S’ or snowflake symbol-
stamped on on the side of every tyre. Because the new rule does
not specifically dictate winter tyres, motorists in areas without
regular onsets of winter can travel using other kinds or rubber,
but with sufficient tread of course. However, should it surprisingly
snow and/or be icy the motorists will have to abandon their vehicles
if they do not want to take the risk of being penalized! Anyone
who decides to continue their journey- when caught- will be fine
20€ on the spot. Worse even if you are become a hindrance (break
down, accident, situational traffic hold-up). In this case you
will be fine 40€ and in addition will receive a one point penalty
on your driving licence!
A piece of advice:
For better grip and road safety, winter tyres should be fitted
when driving in certain areas where the temperatures often fall
below seven degrees Celsius. |

German insurance companies calculate the premiums
by splitting their cover into 3 separate categories. |
|
| Third Party |
| Partial Risk |
| or Fully Comprehensive |
|
|
In this case, as no one is involved the claim
will only affect the comprehensive part of the insurance. On renewal
he/she will lose two years entitlement and evidently will only
have an premium increase (30%) on the comprehensive part! |
|

If an insurance contract is not considered accident-free
in accordance with the tariff regulations, it will be downgraded
(this does not apply to contracts with protected NCD) in the calendar
year following the claim notification or in the case that damage
has been reported and the relevant claim settlement is paid in
the following calendar year, then this implies that the insurance
contract is not considered to be accident free for the year in
which the claim settlement was paid or a reserve fund set up.
The amount of years your No Claims will be affected by can be
read from the tables below. |

Yes, we have two different kinds of cover.
If you wish to have the classic English All Risks- House
Hold & Kit Insurance including
Accidental Damage, Transit, Liability, etc... then we can offer
the English ARMY PLAN (not just for Army, but all affiliated associations).
Insurance premiums are calculated on the number of bedrooms you
have.
However, if you feel that you should feel comfortable with the
main aspects of insurance, these being fire, theft, burst water
pipes, storm and any other natural forces, then we have a much
more affordable German option. Insurance premiums are calculated
on the total estimated value of your contents in combination with
your German postcode. |
